Melt away muscle tension, unlearn restrictive habits, and move with ease.

Movement

You want to exercise, but you don’t feel good in your body and aren’t sure what to do. Or you don’t want to exercise, but you’ve decided you must. Sound familiar?

No matter what’s preventing you from reaching your movement goals, I’ve got you. I love working with people who have “complicated relationships” with their bodies. So let’s take it slow, figure out what your body is saying, then start where you are. This may include unwinding old habits, working around injuries, and improving your balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination. Along the way, you will experience an increased freedom in movement and a deeper connection with your body

What to Expect

I approach Personal Training as a collaboration with the ‘whole person’. I have training, techniques and decades of experience in helping bodies function at their best. You know your body better than anyone else can. Together, we can improve your movement, deepen your rest, and most importantly, transform how you feel in your body.

My training style is a bridge between physical therapy* and standard exercise. I have studied countless methods of movement and will incorporate the best ones for your needs. The modalities taught are always gentle, efficient, and effective. They may include qigong, somatics, and fascial release alongside more familiar stretching and strengthening exercises.

I’m not a physical therapist.*

How Many Sessions?

Personal Training is an ongoing process. Most of my training clients choose one or two sessions a week.

If you have finished a round of physical therapy and need some extra support before you return to full speed, or you’re looking for a restorative tune-up, I am happy to accommodate a single session, a short series of once-a-week sessions, or a once-a-month schedule.

What Equipment Do I Need?

Floor space enough to do a “snow angel,” a wall or chair for balance, yoga mat or rug to cushion the floor, tennis and/or lacrosse ball and a muscle roller or pool noodle.

If you have more equipment available, we can probably use it!

What Should I Wear?

Comfortable exercise clothes. Bare feet are preferred, but we can work around footwear if you need the added support.

For online sessions, it is VERY helpful if your clothes don’t blend with your background.
